The local planning authority considers that this proposal for a large agricultural building to serve a modest holding, in an isolated location and unrelated to any other buildings, would be visually intrusive, unduly prominent and detrimental to the open nature of the countryside, and for which no functional need has been adequately demonstrated. As such the proposal is contrary to policy F6 of the North York Moors National Plan.
