The proposed advertisments by reason of the extent and type of illumination as considered wholly out of keeping with the character and apperance of the location which is a non-retailing operation in a prominent location within open countryside in a National Park. The Local Planning Authority consider that potentially all day and night operation of a tall internally illuminated pole sign and 24 metre long trough light would represent an unduly obtrusive feature especially for an operation not dependant on passing trade. As such the proposal would be contrary to the provision of Local Plan policy BE8 of the North York Moors Local Plan.
