In the opinion of the Local Planning Authority, the proposed development would, by reason of the domestic style of window proposed, detract from the historic agricultural character of this listed building and its historical practical relationship with the listed farmhouse. The proposal would therefore be contrary to Policy BE3 of the Local Plan which seeks to ensure that proposals for external alterations and changes of use to listed buildings will only be permitted where there is no unacceptable impact on the architectural character or appearance of the building.
