The Local Planning Authority considers that the proposal would increase the visual intrusion of the site to an unacceptable extent. The increase in the number of caravans on the site would therefore be contrary to Policy TM5. Furthermore, the development would result in an intensification and consolidation of a use inappropriate to this area where there already are 8 static caravans and a small certificated site, and cause harm to the visual character and appearance of this part of the North York Moors National Park.
