The Local Planning Authority considers that even allowing for the removal of the wall and hedge clear visibility of 70 metres cannot be achieved along the public highway in either direction from a point 2.0 metres from the carriageway edge measured down the centre line of the access and consequently traffic generated by the proposed development would be likely to create conditions prejudicial to highway safety. As such the proposal would be contrary to the provisions of Local Plan Policy T7 which seeks to ensure developments including associated highway improvement works do not prejudice highway safety or the environmental characteristics of the locality.
