The proposed retention of the summerhouse and the Aga flue is considered to be detrimental to the character, appearance and setting of this Grade II listed converted outbuilding and to the wider context of the Aislaby Conservation Area by virtue of the domestic scale, form, poor detailing, design and general appearance of the summerhouse and Aga Flue which relate poorly to the existing development which is prominently located within the Conservation Area. This proposal would therefore be contrary to the provisions of the North York Moors Local Plan Policies BE1, BE3, BE4, BE6, H9 and GP3.
