The proposed free range chicken house would by reason of its size; design, obtrusive appearance and isolated location have an unacceptable impact on the character and appearance of this part of the National Park. The proposal is therefore contrary to saved Policy F6 of the North York Moors Local Plan which seeks to ensure new buildings are located adjacent to existing buildings to avoid a proliferation of sporadic development in the countryside.
The building does not closely relate to an existing agricultural holding and is likely to lead to future demand for dwelling(s) and additional buildings on this greenfield site in open countryside. The proposal is therefore contrary to saved Policy F6 of the North York Moors Local Plan which seeks to ensure new buildings are located adjacent to existing buildings to avoid a proliferationof sporadic development in the countryside.
The proposal will lead to the introduction of an unacceptable level of activity in this area of countryside remote from any other farm buildings or centres of activity to the detriment of the character and the special qualities of this part of the National Park contrary to saved Policy GP3 of the Northj York Moors Local Plan.
