The construction of the two storey corner infill plot would adversely affect the character and appearance of this Grade 11 Listed barn. The historic development of the farmstead would be hidden and the proposed extension would create an awkward junstion of roof lights, adversely affecting the character, appearance and historic character. As such the proposal is considered contrary to policy BE3 of the North York Moors Local Plan.
