The proposal by reason of the scale , ammount of accommodation, design particularly the conservatory element of extensions proposed, would extend the host building well beyond its original size and this in terms of its scale, massing and design detailing would appear harmful to the character and appearance of the host dwelling and its setting by dominating the character and appearance of this already extended traditional building. As such the proposed annexe would conflict with saved Policy H10 of the North York Moors Local Plan, which states proposals must comply with the criteria of Policy H8 extensions to dwelling.
