The proposed development by its positioning and appearance would dominate the front roof slope of this property to an unacceptable extent and would have a seriously detrimental impact on the character and architectural appearance of this listed property, conservation area and potentially that of the wider landscape of the National Park. As such the proposal is contrary to the provisions of saved Policies H8, BE1 and BE3 of the North York Moors Local Plan.
