In the view of the Local Planning Authority the proposed alterations to the timber lean-to would result in an over-domestication of the timber outbuilding, on the most prominent elevation of this Listed Building. It is considered that this, in conjunction with the creation of an opening in the stone gable wall of the farmhouse would have a detrimental impact on the character and fabric of this Listed Building, contrary to Development Policy 5 of the Local Development Framework.
