The proposed extensions by reason of their design, height, width, extent and appearance would have an obtrusive and overbearing impact on the character, form and appearance of this modest well detailed semi-detatched property and its wider setting and such would be contrary to the provision of Development Policy 19 and the North York Moors adopted Design guide which seeks to ensure extensions to dwellings do not detract from the character and form of the original dwelling.
