The proposed wind turbine, by reason of its height, design, kinetic movement and location away from the existing property in open countryside would result in an unduly obtrusive feature in this part of the National Park and as such would have an unacceptable adverse impact on the character and appearance of this open and elevated landscape. The proposal is therefore considered to be contrary to Core Policy D of the NYM Local Development Framework which seeks to ensure that renewable energy installations are in a location and are of a scale and design appropriate to the locality and to Core Policy A which seeks to ensure that new development conserves and enhances the special qualities of the National Park and does not have an unacceptable impact on the quiet enjoyment, peace and tranquillity of the Park.
