The use of uPVC windows in this converted barn, which forms part of a group of traditional buildings would have a detrimental impact on the historic character of this traditional building and its setting and would be contrary to Development Policies 3 and 19 of the Local Development Framework and Section 3.2.3 of Part 4 of the Design Guide (Adopted Supplementary Planning Document) all of which seek to incorporate the use of traditional materials in traditional buildings.
