The proposed single storey extension and canopy would, by reason of size, design and location, have a detrimental impact on the character of the host building and the historic character of this part of the Robin Hood’s Bay Conservation Area. The proposal is therefore contrary to Core Policy G and Development Policy 4 of the North York Moors Local Development Framework.
