The proposed development would have a detrimental visual impact on the character of this part of the National Park as it is not located within a well established area of woodland or forest; it is not linked physically or functionally to an existing business and requires additional permanent residential accommodation in the form of the bungalow. The proposal is therefore contrary to Development Policy 16 of the NYM Local Development Framework.
The proposed construction of a bungalow would be contrary to NYM Core Policy J of the NYM Local Development Framework because there is no evidence to prove that the dwelling is essential for farming, forestry or other essential land management activities.
