The proposed livestock building represents an incremental addition to a building that is itself unauthorised. Due to its position at the end of the existing range of farm buildings and its incongruous form in relation to the existing building, it would appear as a discordant and ad hoc addition to the farm buildings and would be prominent and visually intrusive in the landscape. This would have an adverse impact on the character and special qualities of this part of the National Park and the proposal is contrary to Development Policies 3 and 12 and Core Policies A and G of the North York Moors Local Development Framework which seek to conserve and enhance the landscape of the National Park.
